About 40 kilometers from the NaturKultur Hotel Stumpf is the Eberstadt Dripstone Cave, which was actually discovered only by chance. During a blast in December 1971, a gap about 1 meter high and 2 meters wide opened up in a shell limestone quarry. A breathtaking beauty came to light, which today, as a natural monument, offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the underworld.
From the parking lot you come directly to the modern visitor center, which gives comprehensive information in picture and sound about the stalactite cave. From there, a short corridor with crystalline exhibits takes you up to the 600-meter-long height. Its width varies from 2 to 7 meters, the height from 2.5 meters to 8 meters. The temperature in the cave, which is about two million years old, is 11 degrees throughout. Educational trails, display boards and special guided tours offer young and old visitors opportunities to interactively explore this natural wonder in the eastern Odenwald .

Great restaurant with very good food and surprisingly varied menu! Breakfast was also excellent, also here a nice selection and very good quality!
